Our very first Annual Celebration evening incorporating our AGM, was a huge success. With almost 60 attendees across all areas of support from Heroes to Corporate Partners and Fundraisers to Donators we were pleased to be able to share our new video put together by Frank at Luca Designs. We were also honoured to have The Mayor of Milton Keynes join us.
Odette, CEO & Family Liaison Officer gave a talk about our recent successes and challenges, as well as explain how and why we still need so much support in order to reach the 170+ children who are bereaved in Milton Keynes annually.
The Brewhouse and Kitchen, 12th Street provided us with their newly built Campbell Suite where our guests were greeted with prosecco and canapes. Lloyd, Operations Manager gave a few words about how he came to support Harry’s Rainbow and how well the partnership is working. So far they have organised quiz nights and donated raffle prizes and have a world record attempt coming up on the 29th November which will also support us!
The evening included an awards ceremony where we celebrated some very deserving Heroes that were announced and presented by our Trustees.
Well done to our winners;
Fundraiser of the year Frederique Reddy who raised over £2000 earlier this year when taking on the challenge of a skydive!
Star Hero was awarded to Nancy Cook, voted for by all of our heroes.
Carol McClusky was awarded Outstanding Family support worker and Biggest Impact, voted for by the board of trustees and core team was awarded to Frederique Reddy.
Thank you to everyone who came along and supported the event, and to Paulette who took our photographs of the evening.
