We believe in ensuring our volunteers and teams have the necessary support and training to help them with the work they do for us. Our volunteers have attended various courses such as Health & Safety, Safeguarding and Food Hygiene as well as bereavement training which is crucial for those working closely with our beneficiaries. It’s important to us to ensure that our core team; CEO & Family Liaison Officer, Events & Fundraising Manager and Business and Strategy Advisor as well as the board of Trustees are working as well as possible together ensuring all objectives are agreed in line with our mission to ensure all bereaved children in Milton Keynes are supported. With registrations at an all time high and resources at capacity it is the responsibility of this team to ensure we are working efficiently and smarter to ensure maximum potential from our resources and fundraising income. This means we must take advantage of all skillsets within our teams ensuring they compliment each other. We found just the perfect course to help us with this; facilitated by Anita Pemberton of ACP Training & Development in Chelmsford. She donated her time and the necessary resources to introduce us to the ‘Gift of Discovery’ insights course with access to the questionnaires and team wheel being donated by Insights. The team learned a lot about themselves and each other and as a result have already initiated changes to current practice helping us to further strengthen our foundations for growth.
Once again thank you to Anita ACP and Tony from Insights.
