Despite the rescheduling due to bad weather on 8th June, Jessica’s Rainbow Run, on 13th July was once again a successful community event, attended by both our beneficiaries and children in the local community.
A group of almost 30 Harry’s Heroes worked tirelessly from 9am, building and setting up stalls, registering children for the event and working together to provide a fun day for our local community and beneficiaries.
We worked with local organisations and individuals including Community Arts Gateway, Wolverton & Greenleys Town Council and John Scarrott & Sons (who provided ride tickets to our entrants as well as a donation to our cause). Entertainment was provided by DJ David and included performances by Crescendo Arts, Black Diamond Majorettes and MAPA School of Dance and energie Fitness kiln farm were on hand warming up the crowds before each race.
Jeevan Jesani, who ran in memory of his brother Veer, was our highest fundraiser and collectively the event raised a profit of over £2200.
Save the date for 13th June 2020 and let’s hope for better weather this time :0)
