London to Brighton 2019
On 15th September 2019, 47 people took part in the epic 55 miles bike ride from London to Brighton.
We had an amazing team of cyclists this year, with members of staff from Sytner Mercedes-Benz and Ingram Micro UK joining us. Our oldest rider was 67 and the youngest being 17!!
Between them so far, they have raised over £10,000 with this amount rising daily!!
Thanks guys!!!
They started out on Clapham Common at 8.30am, raring to go! There was a lunch stop at half way where everyone had a nice break and fuelled up for the final 28 miles. 5 miles from the end of the route includes Ditchling Beacon – this beast of a hill is 1 mile long and has a gradient of 10%-16% – a fair few of the group cycled all the way to the top! Once that was completed the last 5 miles into Brighton were all downhill to the finish on Madeira Drive along the seafront.
We want to thank all the riders for raising a breath-taking £11000 between them for Harry’s Rainbow, this money will be used towards sending our beneficiaries to the Rainbow Retreat next year.
With thanks to the amazing cyclists, sponsors Mercedes-Benz of Milton Keynes who provided vans to transport the bikes, Énergie Fitness who very kindly helped to distribute the jerseys and TShirts2U & Gifttags for designing them.
