On Monday evening (27th July) we held an Online Rainbow Group with a twist. At this time of year we would normally hold our annual summer trip, which in the past have been held at various local attractions like Whipsnade Zoo, 360 Play and The Forest Centre in Bedford but this year for obvious reasons we couldn’t do this. So instead we had a tea party at home. Our beneficiaries were tasked with creating their own place settings, baking cakes and dressing up. Karon read us the story of The Tiger Who Came to Tea and we also watched a balloon modelling video kindly created by John.
We arranged small prizes for the best dressed, best cake and best place setting, with on the spot prizes too for overall effort.
Though we do not usually hold groups throughout the summer, we will continue at this time due to the highly unusual circumstances we find ourselves in, to offer stability and consistency to our beneficiaries.
