Christmas is coming and it can be a tough time of the year for our families. To help support them this year, we organised two events.
One event was a celebration that was offered to all the families who are registered with us. There was food and drink, Santa visited in his grotto, magic reindeer food was made, loved ones were remembered through lighting a candle and making a Christmas tree decoration, and there was a Christmas carol sing along with a choir, which Santa joined in with too! All the families had a wonderful time!
One family commented “Thank you so much for such a lovely, cheerful afternoon. When Father Christmas came out, her face lit up and it was total MAGIC. Thank you for capturing that! simply wonderful.”
The second event was a trip to Mead Open Farm for our more recently bereaved families, many of who are facing their first Christmas without their loved one. The families enjoyed a magical visit to Santa, made magic reindeer food, decorated gingerbread and got to spend time having fun in the park and indoor play area. There was the chance to feed many cute animals too!
One family told us “We had lovely day yesterday with the wonderful team at Harry’s Rainbow, thank you so much for helping us get into the christmas spirit”
Another family commented, “What an amazing day at Mead-Open farm all thanks to Harry’s Rainbow, kiddies enjoyed every minute was so so magical and they had lots of fun”
A further comment that was made really sums up why we do this type of trip, “Many thanks from 2 very tired boys for a beautiful day today. Our first outing with Harry’s rainbows and it took my mind off of the reality of not having my other baby boy with me. Thankyou so much”
