We have had some awesome people taking on some great fundraising over the past couple of months.
In May, 9-year-old Mylee-Valentine made the brave decision to take on the climb at the O2 all by herself to raise funds for Harry’s Rainbow – she absolutely smashed the challenge and raised an amazing £420 – thank you so much Mylee-Valentine you are amazing!!!!
In June we held our flagship event, Jessica’s Rainbow Colour Run – in its 11th year it had the biggest attendance to date with over 250 children and a few adults taking part! – although the weather wasn’t very kind to us, we had a great time and the decision to make it a colour run was greatly received as everyone had so much fun……. We raised over £6500 through sponsorship, stalls and the run which will go a long way towards helping us providing our support services.
A massive thank you also to local group Stencil Pencils who held a family show at the Marshall Studios and held a collection for us with the crowd and raised £119.20 – thank you for thinking of us!!
We had great fun at the Newport Pagnell Carnival this year having our very first float and we came second in our judging category – thank you to Marine & Cargo and Steve Paice for driving the lorry. It is such a fantastic community event with locals lining the streets all the way from the Brooklands Industrial Estate to Tickford Street and on the festival field at Riverside Meadows. We collected £286.93 in our buckets on the parade – thank you !!!!
A big thanks also goes to Taylor Fleet-Chapman who raised £130 but cutting her very long hair.
Huge appreciation also goes to John Lewis for their recent donation of £500 and from Enterprise Rentals for their donation of £1500.Finally, I would like to say thank you to Becky Taylor. A memorial was held in remembrance of her daughter Emmie-Rose who sadly passed away last year, at which she held a collection for us.
