September has been a very busy month for events – we have had the abseil and the London to Brighton Bike Ride.
On 12th September 2021, 8 people took part in the epic 55 miles bike ride from London to Brighton and what a great day it was.
The riders started out on Clapham Common at 7.30am, raring to go although the weather was a bit hit and miss!!! 5 miles from the end of the route includes Ditchling Beacon – this beast of a hill is 1 mile long and has a gradient of 10%-16% – a fair few of the group cycled all the way to the top! Once that was completed the last 5 miles into Brighton were all downhill to the finish on Madeira Drive along the seafront.
We want to thank all the riders for raising a massive £5000 between them.
The 17th September saw 18 brave people take on the Northampton Lift Tower Abseil – the tallest permanent abseiling tower in the world. Sadly, it was very windy and the abseil had to take place inside, but everyone still enjoyed the challenge.
Our corporate partner Opus Restructuring entered 15 member of staff and their family and raised a phenomenal £6425!!!
We were also invited to the Milton Keynes Dragonboat Festival on the 24th, to provide face-painting and raise funds for Harry’s Rainbow. With massive thanks to jade Crawley (JDCCreations) who worked constantly for 6 hours painting faces of children and adults – we raised £200!!
