The team were proud to be involved in the UK campaign The Baton Of Hope, designed to be the biggest suicide awareness and prevention initiative the UK has ever seen, opening up necessary conversations and prompting appropriate actions. The tour started at MK Rose at 8am and travelled across Milton Keynes, and multiple Baton Bearers all with their own stories collectively and symbolically raised awareness. The conference was held at MK Dons and was incredibly inspiring but also a great opportunity for supporting organisations to network and signpost.
We were positioned at The Tree Cathedral, the penultimate stop of the tour where we invited children and families to write messages of hope including with Baton Of Hope founder, Mike Mccarthy.
Thankyou for the support of our volunteers and SOFEA and Forever Colours Childrens Hospice.
We believe in a suicide free society and in ensuring the needs of bereaved children and their families are met.
