On Sunday 27th June and Sunday 4th July, we facilitated contact between our youth group who had not managed to engage with our online groups. In total 15 children aged 12 to 16 attended across the sessions, with 7 attending in June and 8 attending in July.
Both groups had a go at riding, with directions given to them on how to steer their ponies. They all rode without being led and maneuvered their pony around an obstacle course. This was accompanied by many smiles!
1 of our youths was very nervous when they turned up, asking if they had to ride the ponies. They were told they didn’t have to do anything they didn’t want to, but by the end of their session they rode the pony with no help and even braved a led trot!
