Christmas can be hard when you are grieving, and even harder when your bereavement is recent. To help our families get into the Christmas spirit and lighten their load, we organise a very special trip annually. This year we took our families to Frosts Garden centre for a very special, out of hours event. The event included a yummy Christmas afternoon tea, teddy making, Christmas crafts, kidmas tree planting and of course a visit to the North Pole to see Santa and make some Reindeer food too. We also had special visits from balloon modellers and some princesses and superheroes came too.
In total we supported 191 people, of which included 117 children. The feedback we got shows how special these trips are:
“Just wanted to email to thank you and all at Harry’s Rainbow so much for a fantastic evening tonight. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and were blown away by all the treats and activities. Thank you doesn’t really cover it! Your care and kindness really means so much and has helped at a particularly difficult time.”
“I just wanted to say thank you for organising the Xmas event at Frosts. It was really lovely and very well organised. We all had a great time, even my 12 year old! The extra little touches and gifts made us all feel very special.”
