On Saturday 19th June, 23 brave people took on the abseil of the Northampton Lift Tower – the tallest permanent abseil tower in the world – all 400 ft of it. Luckily the weather held off for the day and all were able to come down without worrying about the rain!!
Due to the Covid pandemic this event was postponed over 5 times since March 2020 but finally went ahead and the participants have raised an awesome £13853.14 to date.
We had a mixture for people taking part, from beneficiaries to corporate partners, volunteers to our CEO and Harry’s twin sister, Jessica, who wasn’t scared at all!! It was a great day watching some conquer their fear of heights and the instructors at the top helped by easing everyone’s worries with their humour!!
We’d like to thank the National Abseil Centre for all their help and organising the day to run perfectly, we will definitely be back next year.
