BEREAVED MALES
This area of the website is specifically for males.
We recognise that reaching out and accessing support can be difficult and have created projects specifically aimed at bereaved males so we can try to better understand what you need from us. Throughout the projects we learned from some of our existing beneficiaries as well as external services and created this web page to provide the information from our website in a different format.
We have added details of external support organisations that you may find interesting, stories from males that have accessed our services and information about what we do.
Registering with us
If you wish to register with us for your children to receive support, be able to go to the caravan and partake in the groups, then please fill in this form, and one of our Family Liaison Officers will be in touch via email to arrange a conversation with you.
Services we offer
Caravan for a free short break
We have a caravan that is available for short breaks, it is based in Camber Sands and you can bring family or friends with you for company.
Groups for all ages
We have several groups that allow bereaved children to have contact with each other and realise they are not alone. The groups all have food and activities at them. They are a relaxed space that allows interaction, but we do not expect anyone to talk about what has happened to them, we provide fun and games, and allow conversations to flow naturally, if the children wish.
Trips and events
We organise special trips and events, mainly at Christmas and in the Summer. Previous trips have included a visit to Woburn Safari Park, a Christmas special at Frosts and a day out at Alton Towers.
We have an annual event just for men and their children, held at local gym, The Good Gym MK in Kiln Farm. You will be invited to the next one of these if you register with us.
Organisations you may find useful:
We understand how lonely it can be for grieving men, and how it is hard to find others to connect to. We also understand how hard it can be to reach out for support.

Men’s Sheds (or Sheds) are similar to garden sheds – a place to pursue practical interests at leisure, to practice skills and enjoy making and mending. The difference is that garden sheds and their activities are often solitary in nature while Men’s Sheds are the opposite. They’re about social connections and friendship building, sharing skills and knowledge, and of course a lot of laughter.
Our aim is to support men following bereavement. Grief can cause severe emotional and physical health conditions which are often overlooked and even ignored, especially in men.
These run meet ups across the UK for young people aged 18-35 encouraging everyone to talk about grief. There are online meet ups for anyone not near a physical meet. They are also launching a campaign called Men Talk About Loss.
You do have to be a member of this, but once you are they have a dedicated age for men only called the ManCave, where you can connect to other widowers.
This is an organisation that deals with lone parents and is more for advice, but a great place to go for this.
Baby Loss Support For Fathers | Dad Still Standing
A podcast specifically for men that have experienced a stillbirth or the death of an infant.
